Teach a range of Studio Art courses from beginning to advanced levels such as: Two-dimensional Design; Three-dimensional Design; Drawing; Painting; Printmaking; Photography; as well as the possibility of Ceramics; Sculpture; Jewelry; and/or other expanding media. Work collaboratively with department faculty members to develop and further the curriculum. Will be responsible for student academic advisement and have administrative responsibilities. Actively participate in the field of art, involving undergraduate students as appropriate and advance the breadth and depth of the Art Department at Mansfield University.
Qualifications
Minimum
requirements: Terminal degree (MFA or PhD) from a regionally accredited (or foreign equivalent) institution in Studio Art or closely related
area; three years professional working experience in a related field; at least one year full-time teaching experience at the university
level; and completion of a successful interview which includes a teaching demonstration required. Additional Qualifications: Ability to
adapt to changing technologies that support teaching and learning; demonstrated proficiency in both theory and practice of Studio Art;
excellent communication skills (both verbal and written); the ability to teach, evaluate, and advise students; evidence of relevant
scholarly activity; ability to work collaboratively with others; and demonstration, through past accomplishments and behaviors, of the
ability to support Mansfield University's principles and values of Character, Scholarship, Culture, Service
(http://www1.mansfield.edu/mansfield-creed) and the University's strong student-centered vision and mission. Preferred: Knowledge of art
exhibition within a gallery context. Experience teaching within an online environment. Other conditions of employment require verification
of all earned degrees through the receipt of original transcripts and an acceptable background check report.

Status
Full-time, tenure track, position with an
anticipated start date of August 2013. Assistant Professor rank. Salary is competitive and dependent on qualifications and experience.
